HIV & AIDS

• It shall not be compulsory for ICP employees to undergo, directly or indirectly any testing for HIV I AIDS
• ICP shall not terminate the employment of an employee on the grounds of their HIV status alone.
• No employee shall be prejudiced in relation to promotion, transfer, status or subject to any other law on the grounds of HIV status.
• ICP shall provide care and support for the infected so as to extend their productive life.
• ICP will take reasonable precaution to ensure confidentiality regarding the HIV status of any employee.
• ICP will review this policy on a regular basis to take into account the changes in relevant legislation,
the progression of the epidemic, development in medical care and its impacts on employee benefits.
• ICP employees suffering from HIV I AIDS shall be subject to the same conditions relating to sick leave as those applicable to any other employee in terms of regulation.
• ICP shall provide employee with a copy of the HIV I AIDS SI 202 1998 regulation
